The Royal

A Recipe For Success

Faced with a growing number of national chains and high-priced restaurants and bars, the owners of The Royal were determined to satisfy DC's appetite for locally owned, mid-range dining options. They asked us to build a brand identity with attention to craft, the legacy of the neighborhood and a blend of polish and warmth.

Created With Care

The custom word mark, often executed in gold, was inspired by a classic car logo. Our approach reflects what the owners have done to the building itself: taking an old corner store and renovating it with attention to detail and approachable design.
