Strane

Branding Craft Cannabis at Scale

Strane has no pretense and plenty of personality. The packaging almost literally winks at customers with a set of “eye-cons” for sativas, hybrids and indicas. Custom illustrations bring the character of each strain to life, while signature colors — red for Strane and yellow for Strane LIVE — separate the sub-brands. The result is an accessible set of brands for new consumers and cannasseurs alike.

APPAREL, STICKERS AND MORE

Building on the character of the Strane, Strane LIVE and Strane STASH brand identities and evergreen assets, apparel and other branded premiums engaged both B2C (cannabis users) and B2B (dispensary staff) as fans and ambassadors. The apparel continues to be especially popular.

Inspired by trends in street style, merch items reinforce key brand elements with impactful and often unexpected layouts. Strane's category “eye-cons" for sativas, hybrids and indicas are featured prominently, as are select strain icons and patterns.

EMPHASIZING EDUCATION

While the Strane brand is design-forward and full of character, it also takes a substantive approach to educating consumers. An interactive website, iPad presentation, print collateral and creative campaigns all serve to introduce new cannabis users to Strane's products and bring experienced customers deeper into the brands.
